Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Tally (“Tally”, “we”, “us”) is a time-tracking and invoicing app for people who bill by the hour. Tally is operated by QY LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because your data should be easy to understand.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — when you sign up or sign in (with email, Apple, Google, or Facebook), we receive your email address and, where you provide it, your name. We use this to create and secure your account.
  • Content you create — the time entries, clients, projects, rates, invoices, notes, business details, and logo you add to Tally. This is your work product; it belongs to you.
  • App settings — preferences such as currency, language, and theme, so your setup follows you across devices.
  • Limited technical data — basic information needed to run the service reliably and securely (for example, authentication tokens and error diagnostics). Tally does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the core service: tracking time, organizing clients and projects, and generating invoices.
  • To sync your data securely across your iPhone, Mac, and the web app.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To process subscriptions and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your client work to train advertising or marketing systems.

3. Sign-in providers

If you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook (Meta), we receive only your basic profile details — your email address and name — to create your account. We do not post to those services or access your contacts, friends, or posts.

4. How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a trusted cloud platform. Data is encrypted in transit, and each user’s data is scoped to their own account so others cannot access it. Payments for subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your card details.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers that make Tally work — primarily Google (Firebase hosting and database) and Apple (payments and sign-in) — and only as needed to operate the service. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app; when you do, your associated data is permanently removed from our systems. If you’d like help deleting your data, contact us and we’ll take care of it.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else, email us and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — we honor those requests.

8. Children

Tally is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International users

Tally is operated from the United States, and your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. By using Tally, you understand your information may be processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Tally after changes means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact us

Questions about privacy or your data? Email yufansapp@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you.

This policy is provided in good faith to describe how Tally handles data. It is not legal advice; if you operate Tally as a business, consider having it reviewed for your jurisdiction.
